The Ultimate Question

The following stanza puts it this way.

What will you do with Jesus?
Neutral you cannot be
One day your heart will be asking
What will He do with Me?

Who is Jesus?

He is the Lord Jesus Christ our saviour, our substitute and our sin bearer. He demonstrated His love for us and died for us while we were still sinners. He shed his blood on the cross for us.

The Lord Jesus is the only one who can deliver us from the power and penalty of sin. He is the only one who can do this for us. He is the sinless Son of God and willingly suffered and died for us - the righteous for the unrighteous. All who reject the Lord Jesus Christ as saviour and Lord will face Him as judge.

Your response to Him will determine your eternal destiny - eternal life as a child of God or eternal retribution doomed to spend eternity in hell.

The Bible declares that all who repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are given the right to become the children of God. All who are His children are in a right relationship with Him and have peace with God through our Lord.

If you have not grasped fully the short but important truths that you have read on this page read it again and ask God to show you His truth and give you a desire to know more about Him.

If God has shown you your need and given you a desire to be saved turn to Him now in repentance and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Repentance means to turn from your old ways and go in a new direction, seeking wholeheartedly to live in a way that pleases God in obedience to him.

Trust only in the Lord Jesus Christ who is able to save completely those who come to God through Him.

The Bible says that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. If you truly trust Christ as your Saviour and acknowledge Him as Lord you can claim this promise as your own.

By trusting only in Christ your sins have been dealt with because everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness for sins through His name. All who are trusting only in Christ are eternally secure for there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

God has promised those who are in Christ that if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleans us from all unrighteousness.

God's children can speak to Him, their Heavenly Father in prayer. This was not possible before.

We thank him every day for His goodness and mercy to us and pray for help and strength and guidance to follow Him. We pray for other people who are away from God as we once were.
