About Us
Saturn Automated Systems is a company based out of the University of Wollongong, Australia. Our core philosophy is to create products to help the elderly and disabled that solve real-world problems for that part of our community. The company utilises in-house knowledge and skills, coupled with external consultancy to provide innovative and useful solutions to the customer.
At Saturn, we are people orientated – people are our core business. Take this chance to meet our team, focussed on helping to make people's lives easier. All members of our team are young and motivated people with a desire to create quality solutions to the market. This youth and exuberance is something that we pride ourselves on.

Members
As the Managing Director, Mike is responsible for the overall direction of the company. He co-ordinates the management to ensure effective and productive work and adherence to the company's desired outcomes, as well as acting as a sounding board for the other managers. He sets corporate doctrine and manages all personnel in the company.
The role of the Chairman is to ensure effective communication and synergies between managers. He keeps an overwatching eye over all company processes and decisions. Richard's intuitive thought processes make him a great person to ask advice for all members of the company.
Mark is responsible for budget adherence and funds allocation. He is also involved in the project design process in ensuring that components and systems meet budget constraints. He also plays a big role in incorporating efficiency into the company.
Rhys' knowledge of web and graphic design makes him well qualified to be the Marketing Manager. He is responsible for our website, corporate look and all aspects of getting our projects recognised in the community. His confidence and likable personality make him ideal for performing company presentations.
Julien is responsible to the Managing Director for ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed on time. He also acts as a technical adviser to the Board, and liases with external consultants. He co-ordinates all project related tasking and ensures that production and design doctrine is adhered to.
Gavin's role as Secretary is to liase with members and consultants about all things relating to the management of the company, including scheduling meetings, setting agenda and ensuring follow-up on decisions. He is the point of contact for enquiries and handles the company's administrative tasking.
OTHER STAFF
James is the company's IT adviser. He also acts as a technology researcher. He also assists the management where required.
Joel works in product development. His main role is to tune products to the target market, find positives and negatives in each design and prototype, and assist the management where required.
