The software here is free for you to download. there are no restrictions at all and you can modify the code to your heart's content (just email me a copy of your changes!).
The programs have been written in MS Access Basic and you will need a copy of MS Access 2000 to run them. I am working towards getting a compiled version so you won't need MS Access. Email me if you are interested in being on a mailing list for when this is available.
The programs do not "install', that is, they do not write anything to your registry so if you delete the directory containing the files, there is nothing left of the program on your computer.
I wrote this program to keep a record of all my racing and training rides. The program allows you to record details of each ride, such as where, when, how far, how fast, how long it took, the conditions, the terrain, which bike and much more.
You can also record your heart rate monitor (HRM) details and produce graphs to analyse your performance. Graphs showing distances and average speed can also be produced for each of your bikes, for each type of ride (racing, training etc) and more.
To simplify entering common rides, you can set up templates with information that doesn't change. This speeds up the entering of your ride information.
A comprehensive built-in help file system is available which offers assistance with the use of the program as well as training tips.
This program was written to keep track of my wine cellar and provides for a numbering system for each bottle into groups, or Vats of like bottles. You can record where the wine comes from, the vintage, the style, a category for anticipated year to open (a report is produced from this information), the date purchased and the cost.
You can also keep tasting notes of the wines you have tasted and there is provision for scoring each wine out of a possible 20 points (colour, bouquet and palate). A number of reports can be produced so you can quickly see what is in your cellar, what was in your cellar and its value.
A comprehensive built-in help file system is avilable.
I was asked to act as the Membership Secretary for a community organisation and decided to write a database application to make the job easier.
OrgMan is a Microsoft Access 2000 database and will handle organisations with a few members to those with many thousands.
You can tailor many of the functions and static information to suit your organisation's needs. For example, you can specify your own set of membership types or office holder types. Fees for various types of membership can be set so that these will help automate some of the tasks such as determining subscriptions overdue, calculating amounts overdue etc.
Make sure you read the readme.txt file for installation instructions.
