Commenced Driving together in December 2004

We purchased Shadow in March 1999 as a four year old. A few years later Natalie had a go at driving multiples amd loved it. So we set about finding ourselves a matching Mini to put with Shadow. That's when Willow came into our lives, November 2002, she was two years old.

First we had to wait for Willow to grow up a bit, and then we started training. Eventually she new enough to put them togther as a pair. First of all they dragged a pole around with a tyre dragging behind to balance it. They went really well, and they loved doing it together as they hated being separated for even a minute. The week before Christmas 2004, we managed to get our new vehicle to put the pair in. We had to finish it off as it still did not have brakes, upholstery or paint. After a few weeks work, we were away. The horses and vehicle were ready in time for the Greenbank show in mid-March. What fun we had, showing off that day. We love Indoor Derbies. Flying around in harness in the sand arenas is great fun. It is a timed event where the driver has to negotiate obstacles around a set course.

By late April, we went to Toowoomba for our first Indoor Derby. What a lot of fun, Natalie's Mum hung off the back of the vehicle to balance it flying around corners. Whoo hoo we were away.

Highlights of his career include:
2005: First show as a pair - Greenbank show. Indoor Derby series (3 rounds).
