Weeaproinah

pronounced "Wee - uh - PRO - oin - uh"   'oin' as in coin. Thanks to Ross Flett who corrected my original pronunciation.

Colac to Crowes line

Weeaproinah is regarded as the wettest place in Victoria, averaging 75" (1900 mm) of rain per annum.

Originally this station was called McInnes, but the name Weeaproinah was re-allocated from the location that became Dinmont.

From 19/1/1955 to 1/7/1962 Weeaproinah was the terminus of the line.
