Gould was a small settlement with a hotel. After the subsequent building of the Moondarra dam all buildings werte removed to prevent contamination of the water supply. It is possible to access the site by walking in from Moondarra. Be aware that Gould is in a restricted area.

An Annett key was provided presumably to lock points on a siding. This is the first reference to a siding.
