Kevin Borich, Undoutably one of the worlds finest guitarists, First played on stage in Auckland, New

Zealand in 1965 as a member of the La De Da's , a group that within three years became one of the biggest

bands ever in New Zealand, With 6 hit singles and two albums. The La De Da's left New Zealand

in 1968.  to travel via Australia to London the hub of it all,  where they arrived in 1970.

In between, They became one of Australia's top groups along side the Twilights and fellow New Zealander

Max Merrit.  In the Seventies they toured with Elton John, Garry Glitter and Suzi Quattro,

Enjoying the sucsess of Three Hit singles, Too Pooped To Pop,  Hank Williams' Honky Tonkin and the

Borich Top Ten  Hit  Gonna See My Baby Tonight.

In June 1976 Kevin recruited young Melbourne Drummer John Annas and possibly Australia's top Bassist

Tim Partridge a seasoned professional  whos credits included  Renee Geyer and Mighty Kong.

 They hit the road as the "Kevin Borich Express"

This band played all new material and made a break from the past.

Within six months Kevin had built a reputation that had earnt him the Rolling Stone Guitarist of the year

Award for 1976.  Kevin signed with Image Records and the Express recorded their first single

'Goin Somewhere' described by one critic as  Radio song of the year.

A Tour with British rockers Status Quo followed and Borich started to show the brilliance

that had been growing over the years.  In Feb '77 The single Goin Somewhere was released to coincide

with KBE'S debut album "Celebration." and apearances with Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck.  In Nov 77

  The Kevin Borich Express took the stage in front of  60,000 people at the Sydney Showgrounds and

Melbourne's Calder speedway as well as 40,000 in Auckland NZ  for the Rockarena Concerts.

 At  the end of his set Carlos Santana returned with Kevin and John Annas.  A Soaring, steaming Jam

followed, featuring guitar Interchanges and a Perccusion Extravaganza which left the audience gasping.

  On New Yeas Eve The Express played their second festival this time on the steps of the

   Sydney Opera House before an estimated 200,000 people.

 Their are few undisputable Rock Heroes in Australia,  Jeff St John is one Ross Wilson

is another, Duncan McGuire , Billy Thorpe, Glenn Shorrock and Doug Parkinson are a few others,

Kevin Borich is a life member of this Exclusive Clan  -   That,  Nobody can deny..
