When we measured and compare different brands on the market with ours,we did not take readings from the paddle face as different manufacturers have different thickness covering their coils.
This way we are determining how much power is put out by the instrument electronics itself.
The distance from the coil is critical in comparison. Every mm make a huge difference in reading. Play with a magnet and you will notice that most of the pulling or repelling force is very close up.
We did this in our comparison and used a Lu-tron gauss meter. We measured them at 2mm from the coil face. That is how we determined that ours is reading 7 times stronger than the next best on the market. Our unit does not work quite the same as the slow speed unit in that it will not make a coin jump as dramatically. While the slow speed units are shooting one coin, our Super pulser has probably already pulsed another 6-8 times. That is our competitor's greatest marketing point. Now because our unit generates such enormous heat, we have to use much more covering over the paddle. We use about 10mm of polyester resin to protect you from burns. If you take reading from the face of two manufactures with the 2 mm unit, showing half the reading to the one with say 10mm coating and one with 10mm coating,the reading from the 2mm manufacturer will show 6 times more. That is how critical it is.
One of our customers, a massage therapist, used to use a slow speed pulser in conjunction with a particular type of massage. After about 4 hours he claimed he relieved the sciatica pain in his patients. He has a very high success rate with relief in ONE session.

There is only a small amount of insulated lamination between the copper wire and you.
One small amount of damage to the insulation can leave you exposed to some 200-300 volts DC depending which manufacturer. That is enough to throw you to the other side of the room if you survive the shock.
