I am also an electrical fitter by trade. My trade experience involves large scale high voltage electric motor rewind and coil manufacture. I have six years experience in coil manufacture at Dickson Dowding and Mills, a subsidiary of the British Dowding and Mills company .
I am very interested in mathematics and computers. I have skills in C, C++, C#, Java plus COM/.NET experience. I find the study of games and artificial intelligence provides a nice connection between mathematics and computing. Most recently, I have found the game of Hex to be something more than a passing craze. You can challenge me for a game of Hex via the Play-By-Mail-Server at URL: http://www.gamerz.net/pbmserv, my user name is "runestone".
Aside from these academic pursuits, I also enjoy playing guitar. My classical guitar inspirations are Matteo Carcassi, Carulli and Abel Fleury. My modern inspirations are Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and The Eagles. I follow a strict classical style according to tutorials published by Carcassi which include modern techniques invented by Terrega. There are, but a few, great guitarist and none understand the mechanism of guitar playing better than Carcassi.
