What is IWAS?

A work in progress : © Garry McDougall IWAS grades all walks according to common standards. With it recreational walkers can confidently assess any route for themselves and their group. Like the grading already common in kayaking, we will be empowered to choose the best route for our recreational enjoyment. IWAS is intended as a practical and reliable tool. With it people may assess a route’s suitability for themselves and their group, anywhere in the world. What It Is Not: not a substitute for experience not a complete means of assessing walking times no guarantee of a journey’s safety not an aesthetic assessment or judgement of a route attractiveness.
