R.Ed & Wordclock/Superclock INPUTS

When selected to external Wordclock/Superclock input R.Ed adopts and uses the incoming sample rate thru its PLL, however it does not measure and indicate the sample rate.

 

Measuring the incoming samplerate in the dsp would have to happen on a continuous basis since wordclock does not contain samplerate status bits, and so would result in too much overhead and wasted resources on the hardware, at the expense of track performance etc... Also, we would not be able to denote the difference between e.g. 44.1KHz + 8.9% varispeed and 48KHz + 0% varispeed.
