Constructed of wood with an iron roof, the cottage exudes farmhouse appeal and you’ll feel the tension slipping away as you search for that perfect spot to relax with a strong hot cuppa or a glass of your favourite. Wood-lined internal walls, lap-sash windows, high ceilings and decorative fireplaces enhance its old world charm.

The lounge-room is equipped with TV, DVD/VCR player and stereo system (with speakers out to the back verandah), the kitchen has a microwave and a dishwasher to make life that little bit easier and there’s even a washing machine just in case you run out of clean clothes.

Cute as a button, yet comfortable and fully-equipped, the farmhouse is nestled in a beautiful little rural valley with views over grazing cattle to vine-covered slopes and distant hills. Surrounded on all sides by covered verandahs you choose which weather conditions or views you most want to savour.

Three spacious bedrooms comfortably sleep up to six adults. Two bedrooms have queen-size wrought iron beds while the other has two extra-long single ensembles that can be joined to form a king-size bed. All bedrooms have wardrobes, cooling fans, alarm clock/radios and access or views to one of the verandahs.

Just listen to that peace and quiet. You almost want to run out to the front verandah and wave every time a car drives by (because it’s such a special occasion). One bit of advice: bring plenty of food and drink because once you get settled in that five minute drive over the hill to some great wineries just might feel like too much trouble.
