New Zealand 2003 - Snoring
This is a true story that happened to me on the previous NZ trip.
One night, I woke up for my usual 3.00AM loo visit. I went back to bed. The
other 3 fellows (Gordon, Charlie and Harold) were all
snoring so loudly that it was deafening and the walls were vibrating. I laid
awake listening to the horrendous racket for about an hour and with pillows
wrapped around my ears, I finally managed to get to sleep.
In the morning, I was confronted with three bleary eyed individuals with the
remark "Jesus Royce, you can snore. You kept us awake most of the
night!" I felt like a stunned mullet - absolutely dumbfounded. Of course I
told them about the above but they would not accept it. They insist to this day
that I was dreaming.
The moral to this true story is "The first one to bed gets the best
nights sleep"
