This John Storey is most likely the son of John Storey and Elizabeth Goodfrey of Whalton Northumberland.  The children's names line up and the age is reasonably close and the location matches. John born about 1731 would have been 40 when he married Magdelene Aynsley.

Marriage: Whalton Parish bts - John Storey and Magdalene Aynsley both of this parish were married in this church by Banns on 9 June 1771 by John Hogarth, Curate.  This marriage was solemized between John Storey and Magdalene in the prescence of Ralph Spraggon and Nathanael Johnson.

John Storey and Magdalene Aynsley's children’s names probably indicate the names of their parents:

Sacred to the memory of Magdalene wife of John Story of Ogle South Farm who died January 8th 1789 aged 41 years.  Elizabeth daughter of the above died May 9th 1788 aged 18 years.  The above John Story died August 5th 1820 aged 93 years.

Also residing at Ogle South farm at the same time was a Mark Storey with his wife Frances Clint.  They were married at Whalton by Banns on 26 March 1772 and were both of Whalton Parish.  The witnesses to the marriage were John Patterson and Joseph Brewis.

- Ann baptised 27 June 1773 - Ogle South Farm

- Hannah and Ursula twins baptised 1 January 1784 - Newham Edge
Mark a farmer at Newham Edge farm was buried at Whalton on 21 July 1784.
Hannah an infant of Frances Storey, widow of Newham Edge was buried at Whalton 24 February 1785.

There also was a marriage at Whalton of William Prudloch of the Parish of Bolam, batchelor and Mary Storey of Whalton Parish, spinster on 17 May 1772. The witnesses were Mark Storey and Joseph Brewis.

Possible Marriage: Whalton parish bts - William Prudloch of the Parish of Bolam, batchelor and Mary Storey of Whalton Parish, spinster on 17 May 1772. The witnesses were Mark Storey and Joseph Brewis.

Mary's children's names would suggest that her mother's name is possibly Elizabeth.  William Proudlock's parents were Thomas and Jane.

The witness to the above marriage, Mark Storey, is probably the Mark Storey that lived at Ogle South Farm with Mary's brother John Storey.
