Michael Driscoll was admitted to the Coast Hospital at Little Bay on 8 January 1920, aged 62. He was described as a labourer with Erysipelas (A febrite contagious inflammation of the skin). The Coast Hospital specialised in infectious diseases. He died on 17 January 1902 and was buried in grave 1135 at the Coast Cemetery Little Bay. No evidence of his tomb or headstone remains.
The Coast Hospital was established to deal with a growing epidemic of Smallpox in Sydney. The site at Little Bay was chosen because of it’s isolation from the population of the city. It was later renamed Prince Henry Hospital.

Although she was born and buried as Mary Ann Elizabeth she is referred to as Annie Mary Elizabeth in her children’s' birth certificates and most other documents.

The wedding took place “according to the forms of the Presbyterian church” in the home of William and Ann Spalding, attended and witnessed by Albert Kitching and Maria Carr, who was later to marry William Spalding jnr. The ceremony was performed by Reverend James Cosh.
