My Spalding family originates from Perthshire in Scotland with some ancestors also coming from England and Ireland.  My earliest ancestor arrival into Australia occurred in 1814 courtesy of the convict transportation system operating in the United Kingdom.  A total of five of my ancestors were convicts from Ireland.
