Phoenix Special This collection focuses on the creative use of folk dance and music in the educational context. The Phoenix Special is a collection of dances taught by Gary King at the 1999 American Orff Association Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. The items are of diverse cultural origins including Macedonian, German, Yiddish, Romanian, French, Hungarian, Indonesian and Greek. The material is selected to facilitate the teaching of a variety of music, dance and social concepts from the Early Childhood to the Middle Years of Schooling educational contexts. $25.

Olympic Special This collection is yet another demonstration of the Shenanigans genius for choosing ideal folk dance music for the crafting of educational experiences. Basic musical elements are combined with just enough complexity to be interesting. A sensitive balance is maintained between authenticity and creativity so musical development need not undermine the preservation of traditional culture. Items from Greece, Australia, Hawaii, U.S.A., Russia/Ukraine, Bulgaria, China, Romania, France, Macedonia, Croatia, Yugoslavia and Israel. $25.

Federation Special The Federation Special is a step by step introduction to partner or contra dancing. Released in the hundredth anniversary of the birth of the Australian nation, the dances reflect many of the styles whose influence can be seen in Australian 'Bush Dancing'. These include American, Western European, English, Irish, and Scottish. Because of their common heritage, partner dances around the world share many of the same dance moves or 'figures'. In this collection only eight figures variously combine to make many different dances. $25.

Wombat Singing Games The Wombat Singing Games collection is designed to engage children with readily available prop's such as balls, teddy bears, and hats. Songs employ imagery such as playground equipment, a tram ride and animals. The words guide each activity. With a listening version and an interactive version this is like two albums in one. $20.

Kangaroo Singing Dances The Kangaroo Singing Dances are in intuitive formations such as follow-the-leader, two lines facing, circle and semicircle. The text of the song guides the dance plus a spoken introduction. An interactive version of the collection is included which allows children and teacher to create their own variations within the activities. $20.

Animal Magic This latest Shenanigans collection (2003) is now getting "rave reviews" (as they say) at conference workshops. Fifteen action based songs for children on animal themes include Bellbird, Spider on the Wall, Fred the Flea, Eucalypso, At the Farm Zoo Party and a new look at Highway Number One and Koori Dreamtime. The album is co-written by Gary King and Tony Leonard (ex of Lightning Creek Band). The activities focus on developmental activities in rhythm and pitch; dance gesture and locomotion and dance making; playing untuned percussion, making and playing "little instruments".
