PETITION.

To: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House we strongly oppose the addition of fluoride to our drinking water in Queensland because of the following reasons: 

1 Fluoride is extremely toxic and implicated in many adverse health effects.

2 There is no such thing as a fluoride deficiency

3 No differences in oral health were found between two populations of youngsters, one in a fluoridated area and the other in an un-fluoridated area, comparing group with group (age, gender, socioeconomic background etc.)

4 More fluoride in drinking water has been linked to more dental decay, not less.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to legislate to stop fluoride being added to any drinking water in Queensland.
