April 2002, Whitewall tyres purchased from Antique Tyres.

 

 

May 2002, Restoration of boot and boot rubber installed.            

 

June 2002, Interior preperation for sound deadner.

 

June 2002, 12 Volt Alternator installed.

 

June 2002, Will's work on the electrical system in full swing.

 

July 2002, Rechromed bumpers restored by Vinney's in Dandenong, Victoria.

 

July 2002, Electrical work nearly complete, thanks to Will Shillingford

 

July 2002, Tail lights, indicators, number plate light and brake lights all working.

October 2002, Carburettor, new spacer block under carby. This carby is not original equipment, it is a Ford 2 barrell carby, made in the USA.

This carby was used because of economy during petrol rationing of the war years.

Buick as of October 2002, wheel trims on, electrics nearly finished, all guages working and off to the trimmers soon.

 

November 11th 2002, all glass in, first visit to our home and off to the trimmers.

20th December 2002, Buick returns home from Tylden Trim. What a great job!!

 

 

 

Front indicators installed 27th December 2002, from "Doc Hogs" in Ringwood (from a Harley Davidson Motor Cycle)

 

31st December 2002, Bob Thwaites and myself with the 99% complete 1939 Buick, Bob was the previous owner who commenced the restoration in 1993

 

New fuel line installed 1st January, 2003

 

1st January, 2003, cleaned oil from gearbox, undercar and front suspension for roadworthy.

6th January,2003. Lots of work done on the Buick over the Christmas and New Year Break - Brakes, Electrical and Roadworhty items.
