Sunday 19th January 2003
Today we went on our first rally, The Great Australian Rally. The Rally started at the Casey civic centre at Fountain gate, to Hastings Marina for morning tea and then to Mornington Race Course for the Vehicle Display, a very enjoyable day.
Sunday 26th January 2003
Australia Day Today and also my Birthday and we went to the Historic Vehicle Display at the Kings Domain Gardens in Melbourne. Our Buick looked great and there where many great cars on show.
Sunday 9th February 2003
Picnic at Hanging Rock, what a great day, there must have been over 1500 cars present, Classic's, Vintage, Hot Rods, Customs and Modern. We had a picnic at the rear of our Buick with Will and Sharon and their children. Only a small group from the Buick Club, a very enjoyable day!!

March 6th to 9th 2003, Australian Formula One Grand Prix
Our Buick was on display at the Shannons "Show n Shine" at the Australian Formula One Grand Prix at Albert Park, Melbourne. A fantastic 4 days, a great display of 100 vehicles of all types and era's. Check out the photo's of this event ----Click Here----

The Shannons/AOMC American Motor Show at the Dandenong Show Grounds, this event in its 21st year and the biggest yet, we met a couple of Buick Car Club members and entered the show together and enjoyed a day of viewing lots of great vehicles and enjoyed a picnic with other car club members.
Saturday, 29th March 2003
Tonight we went to the Kingston City Hall and saw "Phil Haley and his Comments" a Rock 'N' Roll band from England. Yes we took the Buick, there was a car display out front, there was about 25 cars on display including my brother in laws 1933 ford hot rod inside the foyer.

We went for a drive to beautiful Warburton today and had a BBQ lunch and returned home through the Dandenong Ranges covering 84 Miles and clocked over 1000 miles on the speedometer now since the Buick was registered.

Our First Wedding !!
Today we did our first wedding in our Buick, We helped out a friend from the Buick Car Club, the bride and groom had hired a Buick Convertible from "Black Buicks", Ross used his 1937 Buick Special and together with our 1939 Buick Special they looked great.
Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th, August, 2003.
We went on our first major rally involving overnight stays and what a great time we had at the Western District Historic Vehicle Club, Geelong Rally. We arrived on the Friday night and had tea at the club rooms and met lots of new friends. Saturday we visited the RAAF Museum at Point Cook and then on to Werribee Park Mansion were we had lunch and a tour of this historic mansion. Saturday night we went to a dinner dance at a local venue, a great night of dancing and meeting more new friends. Sunday we went for a walk around the botanical gardens of Geelong and then returned to the club rooms for lunch and the finish of a fantastic weekend. We will be back next year!!

The Anniversary of our first trip out in our Buick. The RACV Great Australian Rally. This year we started at Brandon Park Shopping Centre and traveled to Hastings Marina, then on to the Mornington Race Course, a great day.
