Some say that we descended from the monkeys
That's a line that doesn't always please
Since you must have found
We walk upright on the ground
We have no need to live among the trees

Anyway the monkeys wouldnt have us
They dont cheat or steal and murder to get by
There's never been a monkey
Who would starve another monkey
And you'll never find a monkey telling lies

It was man who told the lie called evolution
Darwin was the guy who pulled it off
Such a stupid fabrication
To deceive most every nation
It would seem man has deserved the worst he's got

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle was never said by me
But those who've made this claim so bold
Should let that theory be
Before he died old Darwin said thats all it ever was
Now isn't it amazing the dissention that he caused

God above created man and every single beast
He made the Earth and all in it and at the very least
Expected man to act a little better than the ape
How disappointed He must be
With half the human race

I'm sure glad that my ancestors were all human
They never had to swing from tree to tree
Now if I should ever say
That a monkey led the way
Then Darwin's made a monkey out of me
