A sword in my mind the truth in my heart
it’s calling me out to set me apart
which road will I go which path will I take
the two are so different it’s my choice to make

The first has much pleasure along the way
Tho' somewhere in the distance a big price to pay
the other has sacrifice learning and such
but I know that it’s covered by God’s loving touch

The choices are clear but still I don’t know
What’s holding me back which way will I go
Am I so arrogant to think I know best
God’s word says "Just trust Me & I’ll give you rest"

Yes Lord it’s You there’s no other choice
Only lies and deceit come through the world’s voice
The way wont be easy I know this my God
But nor was the path that Jesus trod

To You I surrender I give You my heart
Take it and lead me and set me apart
Lord I will serve You as You guide me through
I’ll trust You my God for Your word is true.
