Introduction to these pages:
The purpose of my Modelling the NSWGR’s “Main North” with DCC pages, is to provide information about Digital Command Control, that I use to operate my layout that allows operation more like the prototype. Included are some electrical projects that have further enhanced my operation.
I have operated my HO layouts with command control since about 1992, firstly with the Australian Infocom system and then I switched to NCE Digital Command Control in 2003, mainly due to my strong desire to have sound in my locos and have radio controlled throttles on my walk around layout that occupies a down stairs room and 2/3rds of my double car garage. While still being able to garage both family cars, this has to change! The cars have to go and I need a sealed environment for my trains plus expansion. This, as for a lot of us, could lead to World War III.
Construction of my dream layout has made minimal progress in the last few years due to my involvement in DCC, so it still is at the no scenery stage but running on two levels, enabling successful operating sessions and plenty of fun. Photos of my layout will obviously be missing the detail that some wonderful modellers have achieved, but hopefully some will appear soon, but plenty of DCC information. So much to do. Will all come together in 20...
I hope you enjoy my pages and I hope I can provide some answers to your DCC enquires. Hopefully you will revisit many times. Any questions please contact me.
