This website has never been the property of The Wagner Society in Queensland Inc. For many years I have provided a free service to the WSQ General Membership via this website.
I believe that I have a moral duty to alert the General Membership when alarming decisions are made at Management Committee meetings.
Others assert that the General Membership should not be informed about Management Committee actions. They offer no argument to support this anti-democratic notion.
It is for the reasons outlined above, that I recently have sent group emails to all General Members reporting alarming Committee decisions.
My action of sending group emails is notwithstanding the fact the Secretary alone has authority from the Management Committee to send such emails.
I have also reported about alarming Committee decisions on this website.
My actions, albeit well intentioned, caused the Management Committee to set up a subcommittee to investigate establishment of an official website.
The Management Committee declined my offer to continue providing service until the new website is online. I have thus removed all reference to WSQ events from this website.
I have resigned from the Management Committee.
At the AGM later this year I will not be offering myself for election to any position on the Management Committee
Since my opponent has also resigned from the Management Committee, I expect that no more alarming decisions will be made.
