Students with disabilities might request materials in formats other than print.  When planning print-based material, make it easy for alternative formats to be prepared, and even prepare some formats in advance.

Prepare other staff

Call centre and enrolment staff are often the people that students with a disability ask for advice.  Make sure that those people who are in contact with students know that learning materials in alternative formats can be supplied on request.

Staff should also know how they can make arrangements for students who need services like assistive equipment or sign language interpreters.
