  • Prepare large print (18 pt) version

What are these accessible formats and how do we convert materials?

 

An online training resource for public library staff describes accessible formats, or alternative formats, as “formats other than print, in which information can be delivered to and accessed by people with print disabilities.” (Disability Awareness Kit, Accessed 14/5/03).

Accessible formats include:

  • E-text

  • Braille

  • Audio

  • Tactile Graphics

  • Descriptive Video

  • Large Print

  • Copy on coloured paper

  • Reformatting
