  • 19/02/09 : - Tamsin and I visited our first school as part of the Responsible Pet Education Program. I was very proud of her as she coped really well.
  • 14/02/09 : - Takoda now has the final points for her Championship title. Congratulations to Kathy and Takoda and special thanks to Bethany for showing her.
  • 17/01/09 : - A good show result with Calyph winning BOB and Takoda Runner-up BOB and Bitch Challenge at the Lang Lang P A & H Championship Show .


    • On the 5th July Konig celebrated his 10th Birthday!

    He is our first Leonberger and a very much loved boy, being the beginning of our passion for the breed. We just love his wonderful temperament.

    We are so proud of him and his achievements. He was the first Leonberger to gain his title in Victoria and also sired the first 2 litters born here. He was Best in Show at the only Leonberger Championship Show held in 2005 . He has worked with me in the Responsible Pet Education Program, having started work in the program in 2004 and while mostly retired, has done the occasional school this year. He is pictured here on his 10th birthday, enjoying a stroll in our local off-leash park.




    Guyli was upstaged by his 8 month old son, Mzuri (Arkolowe Green with Envy) at the Town and Country Kennel Club Show held on the 13th April. Mzuri won his Minor Puppy class and was awarded challenge dog and Best of Breed by S A Judge, Mrs R Kemp. He went on to win Minor Pup in Group 6 and then took out the Best Minor Pup in Show! What a fantastic day of showing for both Meagan and Mzuri.

    		Pictured is Guyli with the sashes he won at the Central Gippsland Show held on the 4th January. Mr B Thompson from SA, awarded him Best of Breed, Runner-Up and Open Dog in Group 6. Also in attendance were 4 month old Mzuri (Arkolowe Green with Envy), who took Puppy Class and Khan (Konigslair Carshalton) who won the Australian Bred class and was Runner-Up Best of Breed and Mimi, who won Intermediate Class and Challenge Bitch.

    On the 3rd January, Guyli was awarded Open Dog Class and Best of Breed by Mr J Lowbridge from NSW. Also in attendance were Mzuri , who took Puppy Class, Khan who took the Australian Bred class and was Runner-Up Best of Breed and Mimi, who won Intermediate Class and was Challenge Bitch. Mr Lowbridge spoke with us after the show and told us that he wished that he could have awarded a 3rd place in group to Guyli. He said he was disappointed that he couldn't give Guyli his class in Group as both group winning dogs came from the Open class.


    We attended the 2008 Royal Melbourne Show on the 24th September 2008 and took along with us Calyph, Mimi and Tamsin. Meagan also attended with Guyli. The day was long but, as per usual, the Leos made many new friends there. All our dogs were great with the general public and enjoyed being patted. We were very proud of all our dogs, but were particularly pleased with the way Calyph handled his first Royal Show.

    Calyph won Puppy of breed, Mimi was second in her Intermediate class, whilst Tamsin was third in Open Class. Guyli took Open Dog class and was awarded Challenge Dog. He then went on to win Runner-Up Best of Breed. Calyph and Guyli are pictured in the show ring.


    Pregnant Paws......    
    		 Mimi's puppies were born on the 26th June. She has 5 boys and 3 girls. They are all do very well as is mum. The photo shows the pups asleep...a favourite activity! More pictures and information have been added to the Puppies page..
