What are Rovers? Rovers are
young men and women
aged 17 - 26 involved in the scouting
movement. Keith Farquhar Rover Crew (KFRC) is the district rover crew
for Moonee Valley. The rover motto is 'service' and KFRC does service
to the scouting movement as well as the wider community. We also
partake in a range of social activities and aim to develop ourselves
physically, mentally, socially and spiritually.
Service
- KFRC
regularly helps out other sections of scouting, we run events for
venturers, provide activities at camps such as the Hoadley Hide and the
Fitzgerald Cup, and we help with the maintenance of the district scout
camp,
Rowallan. We also do service to the wider community.
Social and
developmental -
KFRC rovers can often be seen at statewide and region-wide rover events
such as
Surfmoot, Mudbash, Hoadley Hide, MARB and RoVenture. We have fun social
events
such as go karting, Dark Zone, dining out, having a
formal dinner at Maccas. Our members are also involved in a range of
other activities such as the Melbourne Gang Show and various commitees.
