"Dry Bones, Hear the Word of God and Live!"

Mixed media on canvas 104x164 cm. $1,800 AUD
Ezechiel, Chapter 37: in a vision, the Prophet saw a valley full of dry bones. These bones assembled themselves into skeletons and were clothed in flesh and skin while Ezechiel preached to them on God's command. Finally, the Breath of God breathed life into the bodies. The Hebrew Letter Hei on the painting represents God's creative Breath. According to mystical Hebrew tradition, the whole world was created by God's Breath, as if saying the silent Letter Hei.
The Word of God (His Name is written in Hebrew, "Havayah", but the letters are in a different order out of respect) gives Life.
In the New Testament, (John, Ch.1.) Christ is called the "Word" who " was made flesh and lived among us, and we saw His Glory"
