3. Janet LINDSAY

Note that Janet married both William Watson and John McArthur as she is called Janet Watson in the IGI birth record for her marriage to John McArthur but in her death certificate she has parents as Lindsay.

John MCARTHUR

John's surname is variously recorded as McArteny (1841 census),  McArthur or  McCarter (1861 census).

4. William LINDSAY

As William was not married in the 1841 census it is assumed that Mary his child was illegitimate and that William did not marry Margaret Lindsay.
