There are death records in the GRO for a Betsy Neil Holden and Cornelius Neil Holden both with the reference 1874 Sep qtr Salford 8d 7.   Neither of these children could be found in the 1881 census and are presumed to have been twins that died before 1881.  They are probably John Holden's first children.
