In February of 1995 some of the C. H. Harley Brethren combined their talents to produce four plagues which were laminated , mounted on
wooden bases and framed. Each has a wooden "Boomerang" mounted on the front.
These are given to Lodges visited by the Wor Master and Brethren. They are signed and returned at one of our regular
meetings..
The Boomerangs quickly gained support and were initially signed by a number of Grand Masters, commencing with Most Worshipful Bro. Bill Roache, and many other Masters of Lodges as far North as
Cooroora, (Pomona) and as far south as Aquatic Lodge (Tasmama). One has even travelled as far afield as The Phillipines! Visiting Brethren from England, Holland and South Africa have also signed our Boomerangs.
Each boomerang has this little poem on the back:
Brethern all, whereever you may be, This boomerang comes from C. H. Harley,
This fraternal bond has been presented to you , By the Master, his officers and the some of the crew.
It is a boomerang and, as you have learned, It has a home to which it must be returned.
This boomerang is a symbol of friendship, The more it is thrown the greater the benefit.
When you return this boomerang, in person, To our regular monthly meeting, We will welcome you with open arms
And friendly fraternal greeting.
We meet at the Stones Corner Temple, On the second Saturday, at seven. Stay for our ample festive board Which often finishes by eleven.
