Arthritis
A combination of better health care and stricter control laws has lead to our canine friends living longer. While the positive side of this is more time with our pets, as they age arthritis begins to become an issue for most. Overweight dogs with arthritis are a particular problem as losing weight can help with treatment. However to lose weight gentle exercise such as walking is required, and our dog is reluctant to walk because of the pain, so the vicious cycle continues. Massage and aromatherapy can help to alleviate the pain so your pet can begin a gentle exercise routine. Dogs in pain from arthritis can also become grumpy and snappy, or less willing or able to go outside for toileting. Once again the pain relief gained from massage and aromatherapy can alleviate this. |
