Echuca is a busy station utilised by both passenger and freight traffic. Passenger facilities terminate at this station on weekends whilst a number of sidings exist for freight services. The track continues beyond Echuca across the Murray into New South Wales and is used for freight cartage. A short spur line has recently been reconstructed to the Echuca Wharf for use by future tourist operations.
