The situation can be improved
The Australian government and Indigenous health leaders signed a Statement of Intent to work together to achieve equality in health status and life expectancy between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians by the year 2030 on March 20, 2008.2
There is increasing awareness that something needs to be done, particularly when the Australian situation is compared with other developed countries.3,4

NSW Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council
The Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of New South Wales (AH&MRC) is the peak body for Aboriginal health in NSW and is comprised of over 60 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations.
This little windsurfing venture will help by raising funds for the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of NSW. The money donated is earmarked for aboriginal communities along the Murray.
