Undead

Zombie Plague

These plains is where a great battle prior to Aminos was fought.  Millions where killed on these plains in battle, but in the 500 years that have past.  It is all but forgotten.

The sky darkens over the plains of blood.  The ground breaths in and out on the plains.  From the dust the bones reclaim their flesh, and a twisted creature is born.  A hand, an arm, push against the ground to release themselves from their grave.   One, five, fifty, and so their numbers grow.

It is unknown what caused the awakening of the undead.  However on the year 524 PA they awaken.  Each night more emerge.  An unstoppable plague of animated corpses, hungering for the flesh of the living.

Playtested: No

Mounts:  Specter horsemen (special rules apply see below)

Play style:  Less control, and resurrection ability.  (optional rules)

Racial Rules

· Unstoppable Advance : Black flags that would normally result in a retreat, count as hits, for all units.

· Brain Dead: Undead never give or receive support.  All units are considered bold.

· Failed Killing Stroke: A blow that would kill a normal man sometimes has no effect on the undead.  Undead foot units can not ‘battle back’. Instead of ‘battle back’, hits from the enemy have a chance of failing to kill an undead unit.  A defending undead unit rolls the number of dice equal to their attack dice.  If any of the dice result in a hit than a single unit survives the attack.

Optional Rules

· Back from the Dead: At the beginning of each turn undead player rolls 3 dice and for each lore rolled he may return a single figure to any foot units.

· Hunger: The undead foot units must always move towards opponents.  They can move around unfavorable terrain  if their intention is to reach an opponent.  Eg. They can avoid terrain that is compromising (water, trees) as long as they still intend to head towards the opponent.

· Horsemen Specters:  Mounted units are by default bold, and may ‘battle back’.  However, mounted units can never be restored, through any means (lore, healing fountain, or resurrection).
