Scaven

 

Cursed Angels

Once a wise and immortal race known as Seraph.  They, the clan of Nara, where cast out and cursed by their God, Alia.  Their wings turned black or brown, and mortality To prevent them from returning to their home in the skies their wings where weakened so they could no longer fly.   As they generations passed some became more bird-like and instinctively territorial.   Never in their history before have the Scaven fought in battle, but they are learning quickly.

History of the Scaven

Play tested: No

Play style: Focus on fighting from mountains, defensive features, but potential frailty.

Mounts:  Horses (no special rules apply)

Racial Rules

· Glide:  All foot units beginning their turn on a hill, swoop at their enemies with speed.  They may move +1  hex, and attack with +1 die.  They may also glide over any armies and forests.  The unit do NOT need to  move from the hill to gain this bonus.  Units may not glide over impassable terrain if the  area is unreachable by the opponent.

· Inexperience:  War is new to the Scaven.  If a unit loses two or more figures in a single attack, the unit becomes frightened.  Place a  lore token near units to denote frightened status.  This unit remains frightened for the remainder of the game. 

Optional Rules

· Wing shield:   Scaven foot units can use their wings to deflect blows.  All foot units may pay 4 lore to ignore one banner hit against the unit.  This must be paid before attacking dice are rolled.
