Dancin' Lines is run by Keith, Yvonne and Glenda Davies with help from family and friends. We have been running line dancing classes since 1997 and currently operate five classes per week. TOP DANCES FOR 2019Our Intermediate Classes voted Faithful Soul (M Gallagher & G O'Reilly) as their favourite dance for the year. Dance With A Stranger (A Lefebour) and Turning Tables (T & M Glover) were a close second and third. Our Easy Thursday Night class voted Bonaparte's Retreat (M Glover) as their favourite dance for the year. Second was Wolves (A Herd & T Taylor), a favourite from several years ago that the class caught up on, and third was Sangria Sun (T Argyle). GOOD FRIDAY LINE DANCE MARATHONThe Good Friday Line Dance Marathon raised over $14,500 for the Royal Children's Hospital. There were 260 dancers there (much more than last year) and we danced a total of 120 dances over the 9 hours without repeating any. Thanks to everyone who donated goods for prizes and purchased raffle tickets and helped us raise this wonderful large amount of money for such a good cause. |
