GOOD FRIDAY LINE DANCE MARATHON
The Good Friday Line Dance Marathon raised over $14,500 for the Royal Children's Hospital. There were 260 dancers there (much more than last year) and we danced a total of 120 dances over the 9 hours without repeating any.
Thanks to everyone who donated goods for prizes and purchased raffle tickets and helped us raise this wonderful large amount of money for such a good cause.

VLDA GALA BALL, 30th JUNE 2018
This year 773 people went to the VLDA Annual Gala Ball. It was the highest attendance at the Ball for at least nine years. Although the theme for this year’s Ball was Blue and Green, when dancers arrived they found the reason for this colour theme was the surprise that the hall was decorated so that we were Dancing Under the Sea. We had balloons featuring fish including dolphins, sharks, starfish and octopuses. There was even had a remote-controlled Nemo fish and a shark hovering over the dancefloor.
The Pre-Ball Workshop was attended by 356 dancers where special guest Linda Burgess taught 3 dances: Another Heartache, Young Ones and Simple.
The third dance bracket of the evening featured the dance Heart Of An Angel dedicated to memory of the four dancers from Hamilton Bootscooters who tragically lost their lives earlier this year, and other members of the line dance family who have passed on, including Victorian instructor / choreographer Ray Graham whose dance Flat Nail Joe was also danced.
KEITH'S NEW DANCE: "COMING YOUR WAY"
Keith's new dance is called Coming Your Way. It is choreographed to a song of the same name by Aussie country singer Drew McAlister. It is an up-tempo, 32 count, 4 wall, easy intermediate level dance.
