One of the initial rules you learn in genealogy is not to be pedantic in the spelling of a Name. There was little standardisation in spelling before the 1890s and accents only further complicated matters. So we can have for the same person;- Byrne, Burn, Birn, Bern, Beirne, O'Byrne, Byrnes, Burns etc. For this and other reasons information contained here  may not be accurate, so it would be appreciated if I could be notified of any errors so that they may be rectified.
