Held on the 15 and 16 April, 1989, this reunion was the result of a culmination of years of dedicated hard work and research by Kevin Dilley, Great Grandson of Robert Dilley.
Kevin must have also researched the long range weather charts, as it was the first weekend in 1989 that it hadn’t rained.

DILLEY FAMILY REUNION -
Five years of hard work came to its conclusion a week or so ago when the Dilley Family held their first reunion up at the Anglican Conference Centre at Morpeth in the Hunter Valley.
More than 260 people who are related to this historic Maitland family came to celebrate their links, with many travelling long distances including those from South Australia and Queensland. With a range of age from 86 years to five months the organisers were posed with a challenge of how to cater and occupy them. They were most successful as a round of picnics, thanksgiving services and just good old chin wagging went off with-out a hitch. Highlight of the weekend was dinner where 164 members were introduced to the branches of the family. All of these people could trace their links back to Robert Dennis Dilley who emigrated from St. Neots, Huntingdonshire England in l852.
